Michaleen's realizes the importance of helping the environment whenever possible.  We have taken steps to provide our customers with quality products that are eco friendly.  We also have organic and natural based fertilizers to promote the well being of your garden.

Garden Products:

• Pharm Solutions-This is a new line of all natural and bio-degradable insecticial soap, fungicide, plant foor and garlic repellend is in stock year round.
• Ecosource Pottery-This new line of smart pots, saucers, and planters are all natural, made from a variety of materials including rice husks, bamboo, natural starches, pigments and coconut fibers.  They are economical, stylish, and earth-friendly.  "Who says you can't have high style and still save the planet?"
• Plantskydd-A deer repellent product developed in Sweden, that is now made in the United States from 100% natural ingredients.  This product is recognized by the Environmental Protection Agency as an evironmentally safe ingredient and is exempt from the EPA federal pesticide registration.
• Espoma Products-This includes Holly Tone, Dried Blood, Bone Meal, and Rose Tone, which are natural and organic based plant foods.
• Milorganite Fertilizer- This is an organic nitrogen fertilizer.  It is non-burning, slow release fertilizer providing uniform growth, rich in iron and environmentally friendly.
• Terra Cotta Pots- We carry a wide selection of styles and sizes of this original eco-friendly pot.  These are all made from natural clay from the earth. 

For the Sweet Tooth:

• Lake Champlain Chocolates-These preservative free, all natural chocolates are sweet indulgences with hand-made pride.  Available in both regular and organic varieties.  Chocolate bars, truffles and boxed chocolates are available.

Green Giftware:

• Amabient Candles-These candles are all hand-made with 100% sterin, a vegetable raw material from palm oil.  They are non-dripping, non-scented, solvent free and bio-degradable.

What We Do:

• Composting-Michaleen's has a composting system for all floral and plant matter on our property.  We are then able to use this home-made compost for planting and gardening needs.
• Recycling-From paper, to bottles to pots, anything that can be recycled is properly taken to the local recycling center.  In house, we are able to re-use pots, bags and other materials whenever possible.
• Watering-In order to reduce water consumption. Michaleen's staff waters our plants by hand without an overhead sprinkler system.
• Buying Local-We purchase local products whenever possible.  While available we purchase fresh local flowers for our flower shop as well as plants, produce and materials for our garden center.
